The Temple of Poseidon at Sounion is an ancient Greek monument dedicated to the god of the sea, Poseidon. It is located at the southernmost tip of Attica, on a rocky promontory overlooking the Aegean Sea. The temple was built in the 5th century BC and is known for its imposing architecture and strategic location, which allowed sailors to see it from afar.
